Northwave Extreme XC GTX MTB shoes keep your feet comfortably warm thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane - making them the perfect winter shoes for icy temperatures. Power transmission is given from the Carbon XC12 sole, with 100% carbon inserts in the pedal area, a 12.0 stiffness index (a measurement that indicates stiffness on a scale from 0 to 15). Strategically placed TPU inserts enable major grip and abrasion resistance.The upper part has a patented ultra-light XFrame and an overlap construction, made with the most innovative materials: it wraps the foot without any pressure point, helping to transfer every watt of power and at the same time eliminating energy dispersion. The rubber reinforcements have been lightened in weight (by 5%). Also, they are anti-abrasion and ensure 360° protection along the entire shoe upper.An easy and even closure system is guaranteed by the SLW2 dial, the only one with a step-by-step release, which allows a millimetric adjustment of the shoe. The new Easyfit Climaflex collar combines the extreme flexibility of the Gore-Tex Rattler membrane with the high thermal insulation of Neoprene, guaranteeing mobility and protection. The wrapping and positioning of the heel are guaranteed by an anatomic seat and a solid thermoformed counter, in addition to the Arctic 4Layer insole made in Eva + aluminum + Eva + Pile to ensure excellent thermal insulation. For more safety, the 360° reflective inserts enable excellent visibility on the road.
