The MG-Washer represents the minimum possible reinforcement of the nipple hole. Compared to other conventional solutions, this technology requires less material and is therefore significantly lighter. Another advantage of the MG washer is the symmetry due to the concave recess on both sides.
The washer can thus be installed in both directions. Due to the turning, the contact surface on the rim side moves away from the nipple hole of the rim and additionally relieves it. In addition, the MG washer prevents the nipple from "seizing" and ensures even friction between the nipple and washer. Incidentally, the MG washer can also be used for non-NEWMEN rims. The prerequisite is a straight rim base in the area of the nipple hole.
